This year you will want to be sure to schedule time for your club to celebrate Pioneer Clubs’ 70th birthday. The “official” party date is the week of October 5. But you can plan the party for any date that fits your club calendar. The important thing is to join the celebration!

Pioneer Clubs Sunday
Make plans for your club to celebrate Pioneer Clubs Sunday on February 7, 2010, or a Sunday that works best for your church. Use this event to show your congregation the impact Pioneer Clubs has on the children in your church and community. Club members can assist with the service by ushering, reading Scripture and singing the theme song. Invite your church to designate the offering to Pioneer Clubs headquarters.

Pine Car Derby Kit
If you’re looking for a fun way to engage the whole family, a Pine Car Derby may be the event for you (#5757). Many clubs have kids “build” their cars at club and then invite the church to a special Saturday morning pancake breakfast, followed by the Pine Car Derby. Everyone wins and all participants earn the Pine Car Derby award.

Kids for Kids Hike
Each spring Pioneer Clubs encourages churches to sponsor a Kids for Kids Hike. Funds raised at this event are sent to headquarters and used to introduce more churches to the ministry of Pioneer Clubs. Your kids can help other kids learn about Jesus through Pioneer Clubs. Plan to participate in the annual Kids for Kids Hike on Saturday, April 24, 2010.

Camp Cherith
Pioneer Clubs’ summer camping ministry is Camp Cherith®. Be sure to schedule a camp promotion meeting in club. Invite the local Camp Cherith staff to come and help you with this special event. Check the Pioneer Clubs website for the Camp Cherith nearest you. Also consider providing camp scholarships. Camp Cherith is a wonderful summer adventure for any child.
