Coordinators—September To Do List
To Do in September
- Conduct leader training. Pioneer Clubs has great training resources, from webinars to training CDs.
- Announce club in Sunday school and during announcement time in church services.
- Inform parents of club goals, registration details, and kickoff plans.
- Order a copy of the Promoting Your Pioneer Clubs Program book/CD for hundreds of ideas on how you can get the word out about Pioneer Clubs.
- Ask your pastor to dedicate club leaders during a worship service. This not only shows you value your leaders, but also showcases Pioneer Clubs to a broader audience—and often leads to more volunteers.
- Put announcements in the church bulletin, newsletter and website. See Promoting Your Pioneer Clubs Program for ideas on how to word announcements.
- Arrange for the setup of club rooms.
- Finalize kickoff plans. Don’t have any plans yet? Order the Pioneer Clubs Kickoff Party!
- Registration deadline is October 1. You should have received your registration packet in August. Have questions? Call us at 800.694.CLUB (2582).
- Make sure all your leaders sign up for the free Leadership eNewsletter at www.pioneerclubs.org.
- For top-notch training and tons of ideas, order a How to Run a Successful Pioneer Clubs Program workbook/CD for each committee member and a Basic Training for Pioneer Clubs Leaders book for each club leader.
- Assign Pals to club members. See Making Your Pal Program Work for information.
- Add your club leaders to the church prayer list.
