Welcome!
All Aboard for a Road Trip!
Pioneer Clubs Sunday (February 17) is just around the corner. This year's theme, "Road Trip: Traveling the road that leads to life," is the perfect analogy of what Pioneer Clubs becomes in the lives of club members-a journey as they grow in their faith.
As a Pioneer Clubs leader, consider yourself the chauffeur for this fun-filled ride-one that just happens to have eternal significance. So how's your trip so far? What highlights have you seen on your journey?
At my club, the outreach to unchurched families continues to be strong and keeps growing stronger. Our attendance is delightfully consistent, which tells us parents value Pioneer Clubs in their children's lives. Beyond that, record attendance by parents at special events further underscores how they feel about club.
Last week, I was reminded that the road children travel can be filled with some bumpy moments-especially as they enter adolescence. A parent shared with me the challenges her daughter was dealing with, such as peer pressure and self-image. Because this parent opened up, I as a leader was able to adapt an upcoming unit to hopefully make the journey smoother for her daughter and others in my club.
I'm confident this isn't the first time club leaders and parents, out of mutual concern and love for a child, have worked together. This month I encourage you to look for ways to help your church at large see the impact and value of Pioneer Clubs. Share stories similar to mine. Get the word out. Fill the "bus" with more kids and adults, and bring them along on an amazing Pioneer Clubs road trip. Click here for ideas to celebrate your club.
Blessings to you this Pioneer Clubs Sunday!

Making a Memory
The first- and second-grade Pioneer Clubs members at Bethany Baptist Church in Clinton Township, MI, gave their creativity free rein when they created personal scrapbooks for their Pioneer Clubs awards. Club leader Chris Clauson made pages out of cardstock with a preprinted heading for each award. She then purchased inexpensive vinyl folders with brads and a plastic cover sheet for each page. By May, club members will have a completed scrapbook and a cherished memory of their club year. |

Games: Classic Games
What Time Is It, Mr. Fox? The "fox" stands on the goal line. Players line up on the opposite goal line and begin moving slowly toward the fox. As they move, they respectfully ask in unison, "What time is it, Mr. Fox?" The fox will answer various times such as "6 o'clock" or "8 o'clock." Players must move that many steps toward the fox. They may not...
