Leader

  • Work with your coordinator to plan a special event to keep in touch with club members over the summer and get them interested in club for the fall. Invite incoming kids so you can begin getting to know them.
  • Compile a list of club members and leaders going to Camp Cherith or a local Christian camp and the dates they will be there. Send cards to them at camp.

Coordinator

  • Recruit volunteers for summer or fall. Have them fill out a volunteer application and run a background check if needed.
  • Promote Pioneer Clubs at summer church events, such as VBS. Create a take-home flyer or make a short presentation to kids and parents.
  • Start planning your upcoming club year. For help, see Basic Training for Pioneer Clubs Leaders (Item #2799) or How to Run & Promote a Successful Club Program (Item #2701) and use the sample club calendar.
  • Outline your training plans for club leaders. Veterans as well as new leaders will benefit from training. A well-trained leader is more likely to have a positive experience.
  • Look through the new Pioneer Clubs catalog. Place your order for next fall now and avoid the rush.
  • Consider options for your club next year. Do you need to add or combine any groups?
