Each year our ministry chooses a theme for the year and a theme verse. Our theme this year is My Strength, My Salvation, My Song which comes from our theme verse Exodus 15:2a. This verse is part of the song of praise that Moses, and all of Israel, sang to God after He demonstrated His power by rescuing them at the Red Sea. After delivering Israel from Egypt, God led His people to the shores of the Red Sea. As Pharaoh and his army approached, the people of Israel were convinced that they were doomed. But God had other plans—plans to show His strength and His salvation. And when God’s people saw His power at work for them, they lifted a song of praise to Him.

This year we encourage you to pick a song that goes along with our theme and make it your theme song for the year. A few suggestions are:

I Will Sing unto the Lord (public domain)

The Lord Is My Strength and My Song by Don Moen

How Great Is Our God by Chris Tomlin

Or choose a song that you use in your children’s ministry or sing at your church which fits with the theme for the year. Then you, like Moses and the nation of Israel, can lift your voices each week in praise to our awesome God.
