Let club members play turkey-themed games.

Turkey Trap

Age-Group: Any
Number of Players: Any

Mark a large circle on the floor. Divide it into four equal sections. Two to four players are hunters, who stand around the outside of the circle. The turkeys scatter equally in the circle sections. Each turkey must remain in the same section for the entire game. Hunters roll a beach ball across the circle, trying to hit turkeys. A turkey who is hit becomes a hunter. Play until only one turkey is left. (From Games Galore, item #2724).

Turkey Wrap

Age-Group: Any
Number of Players: Any

Provide rolls of brown butcher paper, construction paper, and tape. Each team wraps up one team member to look like a turkey.

Turkey Tag

Age-Group: Any
Number of Players: Any

Play like Duck, Duck, Goose, but say, “Tap, tap, turkey!” The turkey must make gobbling sounds and swing one hand under chin like a wattle while running.

Turkey Thief

Age-Group: Any
Number of Players: Any

One player, the farmer, sits in a chair blindfolded. The other players stand five paces away. In front of the farmer’s chair sits a turkey (football with a paper turkey head taped on or paper bag stuffed with newspaper with a face drawn on). Players take turns trying to sneak up and steal the turkey, while the farmer tries to listen and tag someone. (Constant swinging of the arms isn’t allowed.) Anyone tagged becomes the farmer.
